Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Credit Risk Review Manager.
Conduct Wholesale credit risk reviews for HSBC Asia Pacific to ensure appropriate governance and oversight, to assess entire credit cycle risk strategies, policies, systems and risk team capabilities.
Complete file review for all individual borrowers assigned, assessing the risk rating of borrowers sampled and ensure that credit file review summaries are produced accurately with relevant findings documented in working papers.
Supervise credit file review work and review checklist findings produced by team members. Provide mentoring and guidance to the team and junior members on credit review technique, risk rating and writing up of issues.
Communicate constructively with senior management and risk committee on Credit Risk Review findings and recommendations.
Deliver credit review reports in an efficient, timely and concise manner
Maintain current knowledge of business, organizational, credit risk and technological changes as well as pertinent internal and regulatory policy and procedural requirements to ensure review integrity, process innovation, and service quality.
Monitor information from various sources to identify emerging portfolio risks through an Early Warning Process, and to propose suitable actions across the Region.
Undergraduate or post graduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
Proficient years and diverse experience in credit risk management.
Ability to analyse risk trends internally and externally, and to critically assess credit proposals and portfolio quality.
Ability to form effective relationships and influence at all levels of an organization.
Ability to articulate clear and persuasive recommendations in meaningful and easily understood terms in both verbal & written communication.
