Conducts research studies, prepares analytical reports on a variety of administrative and academic topics, and completes requests for information and official reports from federal and state government and other agencies.
1.Assists with developing, administering and conducting research and evaluation studies; writes reports associated with these studies. 2.Organizes, compiles, analyzes, interprets and presents institutional data related to allocation of resources, staffing, and learning/program outcomes. 3.Analyzes data, writes reports, and prepares recommendations regarding program development, instruction, policy, development, and strategic planning; provides data to planning units as requested. 4.Creates standard reports for items on the Office's Research Agenda and other reports as needed to improve institutional effectiveness planning. 5.Fulfills ad-hoc data requests and reporting requirements. 6.Prepares and delivers written and oral presentations summarizing research data, findings and recommendations. 7.Analyzes information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. 8.Develops questionnaires, web-based surveys and sampling strategies designed to produce reliable data. 9.Applies knowledge of complex mathematical and statistical computations to produce quantitative and qualitative data analysis 10.Effectively interacts with College community and external constituencies. 11.Serves on standing committees important to the mission, vision and goals of the College. 12.Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Research & Planning.
1. Master's degree in mathematics, statistics or a social sciences field from a regionally accredited college or university; 2. Two years of experience working with SAS, SPSS, or R; 3. Two years of work experience in a position involving complex data analysis; 4. Two years of experience analyzing and compiling interpretive reports based on institutional and external data sources; 5. Experience in presenting information and data analysis in a concise, logical and understandable format.
1. Three or more years of experience working with SAS, SPSS, or R; 2. Three or more years of experience working as a data analyst; 3. Experience working with Ellucian Colleague environment; 4. Three years experience working in data analysis in a higher education setting.
