We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Coordinator - OR. The Clinical Coordinator provides clinical leadership and coordination for perioperative patient care in the OR consistent with the philosophy and goals of the institution, Department of Nursing, and Perioperative Services. Prioritizes and coordinates related patient care activities; ensures competencies of OR staff; provides coordination of equipment, supplies and resources for efficient planning, safe delivery of care and highly functional. Serves as a positive role model as a nursing leader. Demonstrates ability to develop, guide, motivate, nurture and coach others. Actively participates in departmental meetings, committees and quality initiatives. Possess strong interpersonal communication skills, customer service orientation and creative problem solving. Demonstrates nursing leadership by competently performing as group service leader, and clinical expert. Actively participates in related professional organizations that provide networking and benchmarking opportunities. Exhibits physical stamina, manual dexterity, visual and aural acuity to perform responsibilities. Is clinically competent to provide care to patient population for which care is provided.
To qualify you must have a current Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required, Master's preferred. American Heart BLS is required. Previous charge nurse or leadership experience preferred. A minimum of two years of clinical practice in the Operating Room is a plus. Must have excellent communication skills. Possess strong interpersonal communication skills, customer service orientation and creative problem solving.
