Manage daily flow of operations for Government Affairs office in Washington, D.C. and provide administrative staff support for the Government Affairs leadership team with scheduling, travel, correspondence, briefings, and reports to include scheduling appointments for University officials, faculty and staff visiting D.C. on University business; assist with the development and management of Office’s external partner relationships with higher education, research and industry organizations; assist in researching issues and monitoring legislation and government activities that may impact higher education; attend legislative and government hearings/briefings; plan, publicize, and execute special projects and events; serve as purchaser and initiator for procurement of goods and services. Position requires person to handle highly sensitive and confidential matters in a professional manner. Position is located in The Ohio State University Office of Federal Relations in Washington, D.C., which serves as the federal advocacy arm for the University connecting senior administration, faculty, staff, and students to the U.S. Congress, the federal government, and other related DC based organizations.

Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; three years of experience working in an administrative capacity using Microsoft Office Suite required; strong personal and organizational skills.

Target Salary: $48,000.00 - $58,000.00 Annually
