Our client, located in downtown Pittsburgh, is hiring an IT Manager. This position is responsible for the technology management and leadership in the development and implementation of the IT program, including the creation of an autonomous IT function, with appropriate strategic guidance from the leadership. The ideal candidate will have ten years of experience.
Assist in the development of, and manage the implementation of, a comprehensive IT strategy for an autonomous IT function and department.
Responsible for management of five direct reports who manages seventy-five end users.
Oversee and control all projects related to selection, acquisition, development, installation, operation, maintenance and replacement of major information systems.
Manage the delivery of secure and stable services to support outcomes through effective risk management strategies
Recommend changes to software applications based on analysis of their impact to all users requirements.
Analyze changing requirements of users and develop effective and feasible ways to satisfy evolving requirements.
Responsible for innovation, planning, development, evaluation, coordination and management of the information and technology systems, in accordance with strategic guidance. This includes telephones, and automation projects.
Develop and enforce policy and procedures to ensure the protection of the IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the affiliate.
Review all hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts, soliciting strategic guidance.
Ensure that all information systems and networks operate according to internal standards, regulatory agencies and legal requirements. Provide professional help desk support. Implement metrics for measuring IT performance and SLAs, as necessary.
Develop and maintain the overall systems architecture, defining standards and protocols for data exchange, communications, software and interconnection of information systems.
Minimum ten or more years of significant experience in a related setting is desirable, specifically in technology and information systems planning and operation to support business goals.
Experience should also include exposure to both shared and outsourced solutions, as well as management of in-house information and communication systems.
A proven ability to identify overlap and duplication, resulting in the integration of disparate standalone systems
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.
Applicants with a Master’s or Doctorate Degree, accounting and/or process improvement experience and experience in government or non-profit organizations are preferred.
