Assistant Professor – Tenure Track Department of Accounting Harrison College of Business
Teach face-to-face and online undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting
Produce scholarly publications consistent with AACSB accreditation and institutional standards
Advise undergraduate and/or graduate students
Provide department, college, and University service according to departmental tenure and promotion guidelines
Expertise in any accounting area will be considered
PhD/DBA or ABD (Doctorate completed by August 2018) in accounting (Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university.)
Evidence of effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to deliver highly effective teaching for a variety of accounting courses in both the face-to-face and online environments
Demonstrated ability to produce quality peer-reviewed research
Demonstrated commitment to teacher/scholar model
Demonstrated ability to provide effective advising and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with external constituencies
Demonstrated commitment to collegiality when interacting with others within the University community
Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities

Departmental Information: The Department of Accounting is the academic home to sixteen fulltime faculty members covering the areas of accounting, business law, computer applications and management information systems, and decision sciences. There are more than 250 undergraduate students majoring in Accounting and another 20 graduate students pursuing the Accounting option under the MBA program. The department has strong relations with the accounting profession, both regionally and in the greater St. Louis metropolitan area. The Harrison College of Business is AACSB accredited and has approximately 1500 undergraduate students and 200 graduate students.
