As a Clinical Administrative Coordinator, you will act in a liaison role with Medicaid members to ensure appropriate care is accessed by disseminating information about options in Medicaid enrollment. You will work directly with members telephonically and in person to support member's awareness of enrollment options and application for chosen Medicaid plan. This position requires collaboration with Care Managers, peers, family, etc. in supporting manager to access plan most helpful to member's recovery. Primary Responsibilities:Create a positive experience with the memberSupport the believe that recovery is possible with support of strong community resourcesAssist members who are dealing with the most complex and difficult issues, including homelessness, trauma, physical health issues, etc. Work with the clinical team, peers, community providers, etc. to find and outreach members telephonically and / or in personEffectively communicate plan information to consumers, and possibly with family / supporters to make informed decision about choosing NYS Health and Recovery Plan (HARP) or Mainstream Medicaid PlanAssist member to negotiate conversion process with insurance broker (Maximus) to facilitate successful experienceRespond to concerns and questions from members and families
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higherUnderstanding of serious mental illness / substance use issuesAbility to travel 25% of the time in a designated areaAccess to reliable transportation that will enable you to travel to member, as neededExperience with Microsoft Word - create correspondence and work within templates, Microsoft Excel - data entry, sort / filter, and work within tables, and Microsoft Outlook - email and calendar managementPreferred Qualifications:Bilingual in English and Spanish Experience working with NY MedicaidSoft Skills: Ability to manage personal data within internal and external platforms and data sheetsAbility to communicate benefits and eligibilityStrong telephonic and face-to-face communication skills and ability to work well with othersCareers at UnitedHealthcare Community & State.
