Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Data Analyst.
In this role, the successful candidate A full time Graduate Medical Education (GME) data analyst assists with comprehensive data collection and analysis that integrates the institutional goals and initiatives addressing the Clinical Learning Environment (CLE). This position is responsible for preparing large quantities of data into integrated, easily visualized, accurate and timely reports for the institution and GME program levels. The GME analyst expertise includes data analytics with regard to house staff engagement in each of the focus areas of CLER and alignment with the institutional goal of becoming a High Reliability Organization (HRO).
Create, implement and integrate multiple data sources optimizing mobile device technology (including HRO, CLER, Educational Data Warehouse (EDW) and workplace assessment tools) and centralization of GME assessments. Assist in the development and maintenance of a GME database.
Manage user access to GME software systems (i.e. New Innovations, Tableau, IHI, etc). Works in interdisciplinary groups to meet GME data gathering and tracking needs. Prepares reports and communicates with interdisciplinary teams.
Prepare spreadsheets, tables and graphs from multiple data sources, and prepares reports and communicates with interdisciplinary teams.Track, visualize reports using Tableau or other software for house staff engagement in institutional initiatives.
Develop and maintain GME dashboards; communications to end users and timely reports using Tableau visualization software.
Provide analysis of GME outcomes using multiple data sources to demonstrate compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and operational requirements Examples include, but are not limited to: milestone reporting, resident assessments on NI, outcomes dashboards for house staff, GME quality and safety projects. Produce analysis and reports to support and track GME accreditation, regulatory, and compliance functions
Coordinate and maintain electronic feeds between various data sources
Supports key managers in analyzing and reporting data, NI software.
Facilitate GME Program and House Staff access to institutional protocols and practice guidelines and on-line resources
Support research on GME data sources. Provide raw data on healthcare disparities, use of existing dashboards to study outcomes and institutional initiatives to improve house staff engagement in quality and safety for the purpose of education and academic research.
Provide user support for GME systems (I.e. New Innovations, Tableau)
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint) Proficient in Tableau Desktop Pursuing skills pertaining to data management, including an upcoming SQL summer course Strong ability in teaching others how to optimize their use of computer programs, including Microsoft Office products, Internet browsers and Tableau dashboards. Strong interpersonal communications skills, ability to work across disciplines in collaborative environment Should be able to work efficiently, and accurately, and be able to prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications: Interested in developing statistical analysis capability Microsoft SharePoint
