We are currently in need of an Embedded Linux Software Engineer to participate in the design and development of embedded software used in conjunction with life-saving medical devices.
We need you to participate in the full SDLC; review software requirements and deliver design documentation, source code, unit tests and code reviews; effectively interact with multiple engineering teams and groups to gather input for producing the appropriate software designs and implementation; work in a regulated environment with a high focus on adherence to quality assurance procedures; and adapt to a variety of technologies quickly.
We also need someone who is an analytical thinker, motivated by working as part of a terrific team, is great with people, and doesn’t take themselves too seriously.
You must have knowledge of and/or experience with the following:
a cross build tool (e.g., Yocto, Timesys, LTIB, OpenEmbedded)
u-boot environment variables
kernel driver debug
scripting (e.g. Bash, Shell, Perl, Python)
Linux desktop (e.g. Ubuntu, Unity)
You must also have:
a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
5+ years of relevant, professional experience
skills in C and C++ languages
a strong working knowledge of structured design, embedded real-time systems, and hardware/software interfacing
a love of problem solving and working with a variety of technologies
a desire to work in a small team
the ability to concurrently handle multiple tasks
