Exeter's next Assistant Township Manager will have the opportunity to be an active partner in all aspects of Township management. The Township Manager is a visionary change agent and needs a partner to help implement the vision and manage the Township. The Township is in a strong cash flow position and has had a history of professional management. Only 20 minutes from King of Prussia and suburban Philadelphia, the community provides excellent services to residents. The Assistant Township Manager will oversee the functions of human resources, parks, recreation, grants, and will play a key role in budget development, media and communication, and overall oversight of the organization. This size community provides an excellent opportunity for someone to gain direct supervision and operational experience. The Township Manager is willing to mentor and invest in the next Assistant Township Manager.
The requirements for the position include a master's degree and three years of local government experience. Preferred qualifications include strong writing and budgeting skills, experience using social media and website management, and a track record of success with business and civic engagement.
The expected hiring range is $95,000 - $110,000, depending on qualifications, with an excellent benefit package.
