Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure is currently seeking a CMT Technician with experience in soils, concrete and masonry testing to join our team in Miami, FL.
Key Responsibilities •Perform soil density testing using both nuclear gauge and sand cone in accordance with ASTM and project specifications •Perform sampling and testing of concrete in accordance with ASTM and project specifications •Prepare and submit written field reports summarizing daily activities / observations and density calculations and results
Skills / Qualifications •High School Diploma or equivalent •3 to 5 years’ experience in construction inspection and testing •Concrete level I and Soils Level I certifications required •Must be able to evaluate soil subgrade prior to placement of fill and perform standard soil Proctor and moisture checks •Must be able to read and understand site grading drawings •Good verbal and written communication skills •Ability to travel as needed •Valid driver’s license •Must pass drug test, fit for duty physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
Physical Demands Applicants must have the ability to: •Work in varying environments (office, lab and field settings) •Perform physically demanding field work •Regularly lift up to 50lbs
