Statistics: Tenure-track Assistant Professor (two positions available) to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in statistics; conduct methodological and collaborative research leading to publication; provide academic advising; supervise student research; serve on graduate examination committees; provide service to the institution.
Require: Doctorate in statistics, biostatistics, or closely related field by date of appointment.
Consideration will be given to candidates who enhance the university’s data analytics profile; have an excellent record in, or potential for, methodological and collaborative research; have an interest in teaching a wide variety of statistics courses; who have experience teaching face-to-face courses; can collaborate with faculty across the university in the area of big data; and those with expertise in one or more of the following areas: data visualization, statistical programming, statistical learning, experimental design, survey methods, time series analysis or Bayesian methods.
Letters of reference will be requested from references listed in application; at least one letter must address the candidate’s teaching ability or potential.
