The roles and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Manage all aspects of federal government contracts administration from cradle to grave
Negotiate standard and nonstandard terms with existing and prospective clients
Monitor contract performance to ensure cost and technical objectives are met
Assist with proposal preparation, contract negotiation and administration of contracts
Recommend appropriate steps to resolve contractual issues and ensure all terms and conditions are met and that the contract complies with legal requirements, customer specifications, company policies and all applicable government regulations
Prepare and disseminates information throughout the company regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination
Initiate documentation to authorize and direct work in accordance with contractual specifications
The successful candidate will report directly to the Lead Counsel and will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the program managers and business development team. Â Other responsibilities will include working with subcontract administration to determine applicable flow downs. Regular interaction with technical and operational stake holders will be necessary to provide guidance and direction based upon the requirements of the contract.
Bachelor's degree and 4-7 years of related contracts administration experience
Experience with all forms of government solicitations and managing all types of government contracts
Knowledge of FAR, DFARS contracting regulation
Experience with Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements (TAs), etc.
Experience collaborating with capture, program management and subcontract personnel to achieve proposal and program success
Experience interfacing directly with government contracting officers and their teams
Ability to analyze and summarize contract performance status for management
Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, able to multi-task, and possess working knowledge of accounting/finance practices as they relate to government contracts administration
Familiarity with ITAR/EAR terminology
Understanding of OCI issues and mitigation/avoidance strategies preferred
Knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA) preferred
Knowledge of Small Business practices and policies is a plus
US Citizenship and ability to pass a government sponsored background investigation
