Job Summary: The Grants and Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing the communications, marketing, program development and grant management of HealthVisions Midwest, Inc (HVM). The Grants and Communications Manager strives to exemplify the mission, vision and values of HealthVisions Midwest, Inc and the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ (PHJC’s)
Researches grant and development opportunities.
Coordinates with the Executive Directors and/or Program Managers in preparing and reviewing grant proposals for all programs.
Coordinates with the Executive Directors and/or Program Managers in preparing and reviewing grant reports for all programs.
Prepare and monitor a schedule of grant reporting to ensure grant reports are submitted within the deadlines as outlined by the grant agreement.
Monitor grant expenditures and work with the Executive Directors and/or Program Managers to ensure grant funds are expended according to the grant agreement and prepare budget revisions where needed
Conducts statistical analysis and data collection.
Prepares MOUs and/or contracts for all partnerships
Develops marketing strategies for current and future HVM programs.
Oversees the development of marketing brochures for all programs.
Review all communication documents and marketing materials to ensure the HVM logo is present and the appropriate funder/sponsor is acknowledged.
Prepares press releases and newsletters as needed.
Updates information on social media programs and the HVM website to ensure content is current and in keeping with the mission, vision and values of HVM and the PHJC’s.
Assist in the development of new programs and serve in the capacity of Project Leader, when necessary.
A Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 5 years of experience of grant procurement and 2-4 years of experience with social media and website development. Related work experience in a Not-For-Profit or government environment is desirable. At least two years of prior supervisory experience is highly desirable. A professional background including experience planning and managing strategic and operational projects is also desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs required. Strong organizational, analytical, writing, and verbal skills.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary to deal tactfully and effectively with persons at all levels in order to develop and maintain productive relationships inside and outside the organization.
Proven success in areas of grant writing and funding.
