Position Overview An Assistant Research Professor position in complex plasma physics is immediately available in Dr. Truell Hyde's experimental research group within the Center for Astrophysics, Space Physics & Engineering Research (CASPER), Baylor University, USA. The successful applicant will work primarily in experimental research but may also be involved in numerical modeling and data analysis within Dr. Lorin Matthew's numerical group at the same Center.
The primary working environment will be the Hypervelocity Impacts and Dusty Plasma Lab (HIDPL-CASPER) located in the Baylor Research & Innovation Collaborative (BRIC) at Baylor University. The HIDPL operates under CASPER and is a part of its interdisciplinary research initiative, combining faculty across multiple departments and schools as well as international partners. The successful applicant will work on the research project " PK-4: Self-Ordering of Interacting Complex Plasma Particles in Microgravity" funded by NSF and NASA. Qualifications A Doctoral degree in Physics or a related field, and up to one year of relevant work experience are required. Two years of relevant work experience are preferred.
