Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Director-Culinary Operations.
In this role, the successful candidate Directs the culinary and procurement functions of the department inclusive of patient and retail meal production to achieve guest satisfaction and meet financial goals. Develops and implements industry leading culinary concepts
Plans and directs the activities for purchasing all food, non-food, and related services to assure timely delivery and quality service to all end-users. Provides detailed product and purchase specifications for items used in the operation.
Understands how to develop recipes, menus, and pricing to meet the needs of the patients/guests, support food trends, and flavor explorations.
Has a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct, and demonstrate all culinary duties and tasks to define and maintain high quality food standards.
Assures culinary excellence by developing, implementing, and enforcing recipe compliance, HACCP, other standards for product and product delivery. Ensures quality control by developing and implementing policies and procedures, by MBWA, and being present at all times in the operation especially during busy periods.
Develops, coordinates, and executes recipes/menus/promotions/station concepts/ service enhancements to increase patient/guest satisfaction, sales, and customers counts.
Is responsible for directing the selection, orientation, training, and evaluation of the staff to access competency, build a high performance team, and to provide the opportunity for professional/ personal development to support culinary/service excellence.
Maintains a sanitary, safe, and efficient operation in accordance with The Joint Commission and all Federal State, and local regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Food Service Management, Hotel /Restaurant Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field .Minimum 7 years of progressive operations experience in Food Service Administration at the Managerial level in a high volume setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certified in Serv Safe program (within 6 months of hire).Must be able to read, write, and speak English.Must be able to perform computer skills to use departmental information systems
