The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking a Patient Financial Services Supervisor for its affiliated Dental Faculty Practice (DFP).
When our faculty dentists and faculty hygienists are not teaching the next generation of dentists and hygienists, our faculty provide expert care for children and adults through DFP and provide virtually every area of dental care available.
The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into ten divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.
Serves as Patient Financial Supervisor for the Dental Faculty Practice (DFP) within the College of Dentistry; oversees billing and follow-up on commercial, government and managed care accounts receivable for approximately 60 practicing dentists; troubleshoots and resolves complex billing cases; responsible for training and management of dental/medical billing staff; manages credentialing for providers as needed; maintain up-to-date on new billing codes and trends; trains faculty on billing; audits activity for accuracy; maintains positive work environment and positive customer relations.
Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; may work occasional nights and weekends as needed.
This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; considerable billing management experience and progressively responsible supervisory capacity; knowledge of accounting principles and application; knowledge of CDT, CPT and ICD-10; knowledge of financial policies and experience with federal and state billing regulations to commercial and non-commercial insurance.
Familiarity with credentialing; experience with training practitioners on coding; business process improvement; experience with dental software.
Target Salary: $47,500.00 - $57,000.00 Annually
