ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Design, develop, implement, test, deploy and maintain institutional data warehousing and reporting systems using development tools and database specific tools. Design, program, implement, integrate, and provide ongoing support for software applications using a variety of development tools. Serve as a point-of-contact within the enterprise application group to analyze, troubleshoot, route, and resolve end-user technical issues. Analyze and document the business process or system to assess the business model and its integration with technology, while acting as a liaison between the ITS division, and other college departments/divisions. Review and analyze existing college business practices, and procedures as needed for ITS projects, and then provide recommendations for improvement to management and staff including anticipated impact. Assist other departments/divisions in evaluating the functionality of new software products prior to implementation. Conduct training sessions; develop training materials, plans, and schedules. Safeguard confidential and/or sensitive data, files and documents. Provide support and guidance in security implementations for enterprise computing systems. Maintain cooperative working relationship with College staff, other organizations, and the public. Follow all safety rules and procedures for work areas.
AUXILIARY JOB FUNCTIONS: Provide assistance to other college personnel as workload and staffing levels dictate. Maintain proficiency by attending training and meetings, reading materials, and meeting with others in areas of responsibility. Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly manner.

MINIMUM/MANDATORY EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the duties as described. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be; a Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field, AND at least 5 years' experience working with a variety of programming languages and systems analysis techniques.
KNOWLEDGE: Strong knowledge of programming concepts, business analysis, Colleague, SQL, and .net development. Common user computer software and basic troubleshooting skills. Database specific tools such as Microsoft Reporting Services, Integration Services and Analysis Services. Development tools such as ASP.Net, Java, C#, and SQL-Transact within environments such as Visual Studio. Knowledge of software applications including word processing, spreadsheet, database, email and web-based tools.
SKILL: Skill in developing and deploying data warehousing and reporting systems. Excellent cooperation and collaboration skills; effective oral and written communication; exceptional customer service; high level of attention to detail; organizational skills; interpersonal communication; decision-making; use of standard office equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach and manipulate objects. The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 5 pounds on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment, etc., and may infrequently require moving materials/objects weighing 25 to 60 pounds. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment.
