Over the last 17 years, the multispecialty medical group of independent practices has expanded into new communities, contracted with more hospitals and health plans, and added over 50 new doctors - but the mission has remained the same. Primary Responsibilities: Serve as primary IT resource for small to medium-size projects Work with business segments to better define project requirements for development and implementation Translate requirements into technical specifications Work with developers to get projects developed and implemented Facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with developers and business resources Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasksAnalyze and dissect system requirements and technical specifications to create and execute test cases for large business initiatives Ability to write test cases and execute testing within a web service environment Product test and driving defect resolution Assist business users in defining User Acceptance Testing, test cases and plans Establish and maintain test cases and test data Create and maintain test cases in Quality Center and/or Test Director Actively participate in walk-through, inspection, review and user group meetings for quality assurance Work with business users, system analysts, designers and programmers to create and analyze various required project documents Participate in production implementation verification and being accountable for validating system quality Plan, document, evaluate and track testing results to ensure system applications are free from defects Communicate and interact with appropriate areas on problems, changes and enhancements that may impact data, workflow and /or functionality within Information Technology software Comply with standards of the software development life cycle and follow strategies, plans and procedures within information Technology software Comply with standards and strategies of the software development life cycle Ideal candidate will possess the know how to create governance and process around quality assurance practices. Candidate will be able to communicate the process to both business and IT leadership Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business Participates in the development of business strategy Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences Identifies operating procedures, evaluates existing or proposed system solutions Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. 3+ years' experience as Data Analyst, Business Analyst or Project Analyst Experience with distributed environments Systems implementation and process improvement experience. 2+ years of IT experience 2+ years systems analysis experience Knowledge of continuous process improvement MS Visio experience Preferred Qualifications:2+ years of experience in a regulated industry, either Banking/Finance or Pharmaceutical doing release practices User Acceptance Testing, functional testing and systems testing experience Test cases and plans 2+ year experience with automated testing tools 2+ years of release management/regression testing experience Software Testing Certifications: Software Test Professional (CSTP), Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) Policy, accounting and claims knowledge Health Insurance Industry experience Experience with QTP, Quality Center, or Test Director is preferred Proficiency with MS Office (Including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) Proficiency with MS Project Proficiency with MS VisioCareers with Optum.
