UW Medicine's Information Technology Services (ITS) department is a shared services organization that supports ALL of UW Medicine! UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center, Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, Valley Medical Center, UW Medical Center, UW Neighborhood Clinics, UW Physicians, UW School of Medicine and Airlift Northwest. In addition, UW Medicine shares in the ownership and governance of Children's University Medical Group and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (a partnership between UW Medicine, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research and Seattle Children's). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all of these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.
Responds to internal and external IT Services related inquiries or requests and provide assistance as directed by the project managers
Assists the project managers with capturing and documenting internal processes; creates forms; writes, edits and publishes documents
Assists project managers in completing project tasks and achieving project milestones;
Conducts project research as needed
Coordinates project stakeholder communications by phone and electronic means (e.g. email, SharePoint, One-Drive etc.)
Assists with preparing training materials and class rosters
Assists with project training sessions
Assists with post training activities
Assists with all post build phases of the project
Makes photocopies, faxes and scans documents and performs other clerical functions;
Assists or prepares correspondence
Prepares reports upon request
Files as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

Must be a current student at the University of Washington.
We strongly prefer candidates who are pursuing a degree that focuses on Information Technology, Engineering, Business Management, or related.
6-12 months of clerical work experience OR equivalent education/experience.
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
Must be detail-oriented with a customer-service focus.
Ability to learn and become proficient with UW Medicine computerized systems.
Progressive insight into the processes and procedures required to implement new technology for a 700 person organization.
Insight and experience in project management and IT operations.
Exposure to an academic medical center office environment.
Up to 19 hours per week while school is in session, flexible between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Up to 35 hours per week may be requested during summer quarter (unless attending classes through summer quarter).
THIS IS A WORK STUDY POSITION ONLY AND WILL PAY $15/HR.
