Challenge yourself, your peers and our industry by shaping what health care looks like and doing your life's best work.(sm) The Associate Director of Strategic Planning reports to the Director of Strategy for UnitedHealthcare, directing the strategic planning process for UnitedHealthcare, leading cross-functional strategic projects, developing new and actionable insights into industry/competitive dynamics, and prepares reports, presentations and other project deliverables for both internal and external use. This role interfaces regularly with the UnitedHealthcare Executive Council and other leaders across the enterprise.Primary Responsibilities: Direct business planning efforts for UnitedHealthcare across all lines of business and functional areasLead in creation of frameworks and analysis to support strategic decisionsConduct analysis on topics such as new market opportunities, strategic initiatives, business development, competitive landscape, and cross-business segment opportunitiesDevelop strategic presentations and materials for use both internally and externally, including Investor Day and other conferences and forumsCreate build or buy analysis in support of business case developmentPrepare Board of Directors materials on business performance, market opportunities, and deep dive topicsPartner with business leaders to drive innovation and diversification agendasContinuously monitor and evaluate UnitedHealthcare goals and identify opportunities for improvement
Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or other relevant field5+ years of health care or relevant industry experience 5+ years of strategy, consulting, product or general management experienceProven ability to articulate business strategies and formulate concise solutions to complex problems5+ years of effectively driving results in a dynamic, matrixed environment with high degree of organizational change and ambiguityExcellent consultative, interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsPreferred Qualifications:Graduate degree in business or healthcare administrationHistory of quickly gaining credibility, partnering with business leaders and exhibiting executive presenceHistory of effectively driving results in a dynamic, matrixed environment with high degree of organizational change and ambiguityAbility to champion continuous change and consult with versatilityHigh level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
