Loretto Hospital is seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial President and Chief Executive Officer who can partner with the board, build internal and external relationships and lead staff to achieve the hospital’s vision.
The hospital is a not-for-profit community-based organization, which partners with its physicians, employees and community it serves to provide quality patient-centered care. The hospital is the largest non-governmental employer in its community and serves more than 33,000 patients annually.
Loretto Hospital is governed by a 7-member board of trustees and has a management team that works with the CEO to supervise more than 600 staff. Reporting to the board of trustees, the CEO will provide leadership to the organization and manage a fiscally responsible strategy to support the community through comprehensive inpatient/outpatient services including wellness educational programs. Essential to this role will be the development of a strategic growth plan and collaborative relationships. It's near-term priorities for the next 12-18 months include: (1) gaining a deep understanding of the hospital programs, people and potential; (2) developing and implementing a 3-5 year business and strategic plan for sustainable growth, diverse revenue streams, organizational efficiency and innovation; and (4) building and sustaining relationships with local, regional and federal governments.
Ideal candidates for this position will share our commitment to Loretto Hospital’s mission and will bring a variety of experiences and attributes to the CEO position, including a minimum of eight years’ senior level organizational and financial leadership and management experience in a similar-sized or larger healthcare organization. A Master's degree or equivalent with 3-5 years’ experience working in a safety net hospital and the ability to think strategically and critically, synthesize complex issues and information is required in addition to keeping up with industry trends and evaluating new trends for potential implementation.
