Experience with different contract types, including GSA Schedules (FAR Part 8), Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA), and adding supplies and services to the schedules.
FAR/DFAR/GSA Policy: Identify changes to FAR/DFAR or GSA requirements that may impact our ability to do business or submit proposals; has expert level knowledge of FAR/DFAR and GSA requirements.
Overall trouble shooter: works with customer service, billing and finance to resolve customer issues with purchase orders and services.
Government Contracts: maintain proper life cycle contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with industry best practices or commercial standards. Ensure contracting workflow across enterprise. Assure adherence to standards; provide contract and subcontract provisions based on strategy discussions, input from senior management and organizational standards. Oversee contract-related audits providing necessary information, mitigate findings/implementing change, etc.
Responsible for creating and sending company Purchase Orders to suppliers for products and services.
Prepare subcontract documentation that reflects mandatory and applicable flow-down provisions from prime contract
Ensure compliance with the obligations, as applicable, pursuant to FAR 52.204-10, Reporting Executive Compensation and First-Tier Subcontract Awards
Develop a small business subcontracting plan, per award, and file quarterly compliance reports
Work closely with contracting officer and internal resources to interpret and negotiate contractual issues including negotiation of both contract-level terms as well as working within the framework of the established contract terms to creatively find solutions to logistical, financial and technical challenges
Prepare subcontractor approval request packages for submission to USG ordering contracting officer
Maintain orderly and complete contractual documentation
Support contract inspections and audits
Preference for candidates with experience in the telecommunications, software, OR aviation industry.
Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in direct acquisition field, with emphasis on contract administration experience
Must be a US citizen eligible for obtaining a US security clearance
