Givens Highland Farms is a Life Plan Community located in Black Mountain, North Carolina (Western NC).
Givens Highland Farms is seeking a licensed Nursing Home Administrator for the 90-bed Health Center (60-beds Skilled and 30-beds Assisted Living) and a growing Home Care program. The Health Services Director is responsible for the operation of the Health Center which is a Five-Star Quality rated Health Center featuring nursing care, rehab and therapy nursing, assisted living and home care nursing services in accordance with current Federal and State regulations governing a Life Plan Community. Givens Highland Farms accepts Medicare and Medicaid.
While reporting to the Executive Director, the Health Services Director oversees the Health Center’s administrative functions; including all departmental operations (admissions, nursing, housekeeping, activities, reception, medical records, and other auxiliary staffing). Other primary responsibilities include: *Plans, directs, controls, and evaluates all aspects of the operations of the Health Center to assure consistency with the corporate mission, vision and values of the organization as well as CMS regulatory guidelines. *Develops and monitors financial and census goals (budget) of the Health Center and the Home Care program, to achieve long term fiscal viability. *Works closely with the Executive Director, Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, Home Care Coordinator, and Human Resources regarding employee issues, policies, and employee development. *Responsible for the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
Givens Highland Farms is currently in the process of Master Planning, which includes the desire to construct a new boutique-style health center and assisted living. The Health Services Director will work directly with the Executive Director regarding the overall building size and scope of services to serve the residents of the Life Plan Community. Within the scope, the Health Services Director will be responsible to work with the team to evaluate and create a robust Home Care program to serve the needs of the residents within the continuum.
Qualified candidates must hold a current/un-encumbered North Carolina Nursing Home Administrators License or obtain through reciprocity. Qualified candidates should also have a bachelor’s degree in Business or Health Care/Public Health Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related expertise. The preferred candidate should have significant experience in long term care, demonstrated leadership ability, and is a strategic thinker.
Additional Salary Information: Salary range $85-90K Depending on Experience
North Carolina Life Plan Communities located in Asheville and Black Mountain, Western North Carolina. Approximately 800 residents and 300 staff at Givens Estates (Asheville) and approximately 300 residents and 200 staff at Givens Highland Farms (Black Mountain).
