Goals will be accomplished through building collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and partners. All aspects of business activities are included in this project manager role: Organizational Readiness (change readiness, planning, training, process & procedure optimization, business rules), Configuration and Polaris Production Operations. This position will be a part of the Business PMO team. This position is only located in Minnetonka, MN and telecommuting is not an option. Primary Responsibilities:Ensure alignment of program/project scope and objectives with the organization's strategic objectives Ensure that all impacted operational areas are identified for specific readiness activities, and that appropriate resources are engaged to participate in the scope definition process Ensure that project scope, requirements and approvals comply with current Program Management Office governance guidelines and methodology Monitors scope requirements and identifies scope-related gaps and issues Obtain agreement on project scope from applicable stakeholders, and ensures that requirements sign-off is obtained Ensure that all project deliverables and success criteria are identified Maintain the definition of project scope and objectives throughout the project lifecycle, as needed Identify project duration, effort, sequence, and dependencies of tasks required to meet applicable project objectives Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including resource assignments and dependencies Work with resource managers to drive the identification of the skills, duration and effort required for successful project execution (e.g., resource demand planning) Ensure that resources are acquired to meet project requirements, escalating for assistance where gaps exist Ensure that project schedules include all tasks and activities necessary to achieve project objectives Adhere to applicable project planning processes/methodologies (e.g., UDP) in order to ensure that all required project resources are aligned and available (including testing environments) Manages project schedule, quality, communications and relationships
Required Qualifications: BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and/or equivalent education and experience 1+ years of project management experience 1+ years of experience in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint Experience presenting Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely Ability to listen well and explain concepts, opinions, and options upstream and downstream Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities Strong analytical and problem solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:1+ years of project management experience in healthcare PMP Certification - or willingness to obtain a PMP Previous experience in a Project Management Office (PMO)Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
