You will use your skills in security, data center design, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, VM technology, and data warehousing best practices in order to architect Optum's market leading data warehouse implementations for our government customers. This positions requires travel up to 75% of the time. Primary Responsibilities:Lead and collaborate with a team of other professionals who include infrastructure specialists, security specialists, audit and compliance personnel, data modelers, ETL specialists, and database administrators Work closely with our customers and will engage in with them to design effective solutions in joint application design (JAD) sessions, architecture meetings, and other interactive forums Prepare architecture diagrams of varying detail and complexity, and will need to clearly explain highly technical information to C-suite personnel Use your knowledge of frequently employed government security controls to work with auditors and other risk and compliance personnel to come up with cost effective and secure solutions that meet ever changing and more extensive security requirements
Required Qualifications:BS degree or equivalent work experience. 7+ years of information security and technology management experience (experience and understanding of all security domains) 10+ years of IT experience (server/desktop hardware & software, networking, storage, disaster recovery, and backup/restore) Broad-based working knowledge of networking, application, database, infrastructure and/or server administration Must have working knowledge of security management tools and applications, such as, Qualys, LogRhythm, Symantec, Barracuda, Parity, Tufin, and Splunk Extensive and demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA and other security controls commonly employed in health care IT deployments such as NIST 800-53, MARS-E 2.0, IRS 1075, and FISMA Knowledge of audits types and security controls typically employed in government IT domains such as SSAE 16, SOC 2 Type 2, SOX, PCI, etc. Knowledge with multiple operating systems, such as, Windows, Linux, etc. Experience in oral communication in a variety of situations such as interacting with the user community (e.g. State staff, vendors, and Data Center staff), making presentations, facilitating meetings and walkthroughs, and user training Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite of tools in facilitating written communication and communication with team members, stakeholders, end users Ability to manage complex projects Global Information Assurance Certificate such as GIAC Information Security Professional, Systems Security Certified Practitioner, ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor, ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional or equivalent certificate Experience with VMWare and managing and deploying virtual environments Experience in IT project management including costing, scheduling, coordination of multiple teams from project inception through QA and UAT to customer acceptance Must be willing/able to travel up to 75%Preferred Qualifications:BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and/or MIS MBA in MIS or another advanced degree in a technical domain such as computer science, statistics and mathematics 5+ years of experience in the health care domain Experience with infrastructure architecture and design and data center architecture including disaster recovery Microsoft Project experience Ability to analyze system metrics to monitor and improve performanceCareers with Optum.
