The Office of Financial Aid unit is seeking a Financial Aid Counselor for the Health Sciences Center. This position is responsible for leading functions necessary to ensure students are receiving appropriate financial aid, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with federal, state and institutional regulations.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Oversee the financial aid awards process.
Collaborate in the administration of student aid funds in excess of $400 million annually.
Counsel students, parents, high school personnel and others regarding financial aid programs offered by federal, state, private and institutional sources.
Proactively monitor ever-changing rules, regulations, policy bulletins and statutes from the federal and state government, other agencies, and the University.
