Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Database Analyst, Junior.
In this role, the successful candidate is an important member of the Transplant Institute multidisciplinary team. The analyst provides support to the heart and lung transplant, ventricular assist device and ECMO programs. Reports the Transplant IT Data Manager.
Prepare match runs, top liver patient report for listing meetings, attend and take meeting minutes of patients presented/discussed.
Provide occasional data and I.T. support for on-call coordinators.
Supervise and provide direction for part time data employee.
Maintain organ procurement log, complete OPO recipient forms.
Collects and enters data into data registries including INTERMACS, UNET, and ECMO reporting.
Supports QAPI projects including data collection and analysis.
Complete large volumes of UNOS TIEDI forms accurately before due dates. Report graft failures and deaths in UNOS TIEDIs and appropriate databases.
Collaborate with EPIC/Phoenix and create MCIT helpdesk tickets for Phoenix issues.
Provide desktop support for the various software programs and I.T. related issues, create MCIT helpdesk tickets if needed.
Prepare reports on monthly basis: NYCLT, Rogosin, Monthly Volume in addition to ad hoc report requests.
Input transplant and donor info in EPIC.
Make waitlist status changes as directed in UNOS and databases i.e. removals, additions, inactivation/deactivations and send email notification. Dual ABO verification, consent evaluation, 2728 and HLA (if needed) confirmation for waitlist listings.
Contacts dialysis centers and other internal and external providers to collect information and ensure appropriate regulatory filing is completed.
Makes timely and accurate updates in UNOS and internal databases to ensure patients on the waiting list are current; contacts patients for list recertification reminders and laboratories/MD offices to obtain data.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a High School Diploma and 1 year related experience, strong excel skills.
Preferred Qualifications: College degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with 4 years experience in a similar capacity with at least two years experience in healthcare.
