Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a FGP Assistant Site Director. This positioned is based in Lake Success, Long Island.
In this role, the successful candidate has overall responsibility to plan, organize and direct the clinical and operational aspects. Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, the Assistant Director is expected to work in close collaboration with Regional Director on Ambulatory Care Strategy, Business Operations & Affiliates, Assistant VP Ambulatory Care Performance Optimization & Operations, Senior Director of Ambulatory Operations and Director of Finance to achieve the sites financial and operational goals.
Oversees the business office functions of the sites and serves as primary site contact with billing vendors. Plans, develops, directs and monitors initiatives to improve revenue cycle processes and productivity. Meets regularly with Faculty Group Practice leadership to report operating and financial results including Quarterly P&L meeting review
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: Participates in financial management including participation in business development and facilitating the accomplishment of RVU targets. In conjunction with Faculty Group Practice leadership, collaboratively responsible for implementing business plan components and monitoring achievement of benchmarks and goals. Manages billing and front end processing at the site including authorizations, referrals, charge capture, co-pay collection, etc.Meet regularly with Faculty Group Practice leadership to report operating and financial results.
Communicates issues/concerns timely that affect operations, financial performance, clinical safety, quality of care, and patient, employee and/or physician satisfaction. Works with FGP clinical leadership to ensure all requirements are met for accreditations and certifications. Monitors inbaskets and open encounters to ensure outstanding items are addressed in a timely manner. Maintains web based information for providers in patient access.
Oversees patient satisfaction results and adjusts work flows to address issues as needed. Develops staffing models consistent with practice standards and optimal customer service. Participates in routine FGP corporate meetings including monthly Ambulatory Leadership meeting and Monthly Administrative Manager Meeting, as well as other operational meetings as requested.
Interacts with Business Managers from various departmental FGPs on issues related to sessional providers. Establishes call triage plans leveraging local resources and the FGP call center where appropriate.
Collaborates with the Facility Manager to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and employees, including the development of emergency action plans. Oversees the clinical and administrative information systems in collaboration with the FGP and SOM Information Technology contacts to enhance the clinical operations and business activities within the site.
Plans, develops, directs and monitors initiatives to improve patient care across the sites.Plans, develops, directs and monitors initiative to improve patient access and physician productivity across the sites.
Manages overtime hours and usage of temporary resources across sites.
Selects, assigns, supervises and evaluates clinical and administrative support staff; oversees personnel administration with human resources department; carries out disciplinary action as necessary. Oversees the coordination of staff coverage across multiple sites to ensure adequate support and maintain efficient operation.
Responsible for implementation of FGP and NYU planning decisions and enforcement of policies and procedures. Develops and maintains ambulatory policies and procedures for the administration of the sites. Assists in the development of the multi-sites vision and strategic plans, as well as executing recommendations and initiatives.
CLINICAL MANAGEMENT - Plans, directs and coordinates the day-to-day activities of multiple ambulatory sites. These sites include Trinity, a multi-specialty ambulatory care center with over 40+ physicians and 70+ support staff, Irving Place Pediatrics, Medhattan Urgent Care, and Seaport Orthopaedics.
MISCELLANEOUS: Assist in troubleshooting institutional issues as they relate to the FGP. Keep up on regulatory policies and industry changes that may affect the manner in which we conduct business. Disseminate this information to the FGPs and FGP staff. Keep abreast of new practice management products and technologies that may enhance operational efficiencies and revenue enhancement. Works with credentialing to onboard new providers to plans. Manage equipment including asset acquisition, maintenance, end of useful life planning, and proposals for new/replacement items. Works with marketing to develop targeted tools promoting providers and services. Collaborate with facilities to operationalize new space and renovations. Develop orientation and training programs for new staff. Ensure participation in FGP sponsored staff orientations and training.

Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree and 6-8 years experience in medical practice management, preferably in a large multi-specialty group practice or academic medical center; Successful track record in leadership and staff management. Strong understanding of the theories, principles and processes of physician office and revenue cycle management. Demonstrated success in working with physicians. Experience with IT systems used in medical management. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Good written and oral communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. Highly self motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong customer service orientation. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Master's Degree preferred.
