Where the Chemistry Happens...
As a member of the Catalysts Operating Division (CC) Global Planning & Controlling, the Financial Analyst supports the Compliance activities of the Global Catalysts division. This is to ensure that CC fully complies with pertinent Tax, Legal, and Financial Reporting Compliance. This role is responsible for CC ICTP processes on a global level, and acts as the Regional Operational Division Inter-company Office (RODIO) for CC. In addition, the incumbent partners with the Business Unit Precious & Base Metals, CCM, and is responsible for assisting the Manager, CC Compliance & Governance for establishing and maintaining appropriate Guidelines & Processes for Risk Management for the division.
Financial Analyst (1703105) – Iselin, NJ
Formula for Success: You Will...
Support the Compliance Manager to implement Global tax compliance; discuss pertinent tax issues with the regional and central tax departments; develop, govern, and implement CC internal processes; assist local tax audits; implement BASF Group Tax Guidelines.
Be responsible for CC ICTP processes on a global level, and act as the Regional Operational Division Inter-company Office (RODIO) for CC; ensure that CC BUs follow required tax laws in developing cross boarder ICTPs and SLAs. Responsible to develop, implement, and monitor CC internal processes to facilitate that BUs comply with BASF Group ICTP Guidelines and use the BASF Central system (iComp) for proper documentation when appropriate.
Accountable for the Governance and Operational aspects of Cost Share Agreements (CSA).
Hold responsibility for ensuring that CC BUs follow required tax laws in developing cross boarder Intellectual Property/License Agreements (IP/Las) and Royalty payments; develop/implement/monitor CC internal processes to facilitate that BUs comply with BASF Group ICTP Guidelines and use the BASF Contract Management tools for proper documentation; responsible for the compliance and governance aspects of IPs/LAs.
Manage Anti-Money Laundering Compliance, Contract Management, and Anti-Trust Compliance in the Division.
Ensure CC meets all the Financial/Accounting compliance needs; responsible for developing and implementing CC internal processes to ensure achieving full Financial/ Accounting Reporting Compliance.
Be responsible for ensuring that CC business and operational risk is adequately managed. Develop and implement CC internal processes to facilitate that risk is properly identified, evaluated, risk response is developed and risk is reported to the appropriate level in the organization.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or Business is required and 3+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role required
Demonstrated deep knowledge of MS Office Excel , Word and PowerPoint
Developed proficiency in the following competencies must be evident and demonstrated: Business and Financial Acumen, Analytical Thinking, Customer Focus
Knowledge of Financial Reporting Compliance Controls preferred
