The University of Wisconsin-Madison, Department of Mechanical Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the field of high-fidelity simulation of chemically reacting flows. Desired areas of specialization include (but are not limited to):
Development and/or knowledgeable exercise of advanced numerical methods applied to combustion and turbulent reacting flows.
High-Performance Computing for computational fluid dynamics.
New hires will be expected to maintain a world-class, extramural funded graduate research program on technological problems that are relevant to the needs of the profession and of society. They will also teach and develop undergraduate and graduate courses; supervise graduate student research; participate in departmental and university faculty governance; and contribute to professional and public service.
Requirements: Ph.D. in Engineering or closely related field, and demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching.
