The Director of Annual Giving will be responsible for the management and coordination of Marymount’s comprehensive annual giving program in support of the overall goals and objectives of the school’s advancement efforts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Support Head of School, Director of Development, Administrators and volunteers in all activities of the Development Office related to fundraising and annual philanthropic support.
In collaboration with the Director of Development, manage and coordinate all annual giving efforts with a primary focus on parent and alumnae constituencies.
Maintain and support Marymount’s strong volunteer cohort, recruiting and managing dedicated volunteers who assist with annual giving solicitations (primarily with alumnae and current parent representatives).
Devise and implement (in collaboration with the Marketing/Communications Department) annual giving communications schedules, utilizing messaging that incorporates Marymount’s brand and communications strategy.
Produce all marketing and solicitation materials for the annual giving campaigns, including segmented direct mail, personalized appeal letters and email solicitations.
Oversee annual giving donor recognition to ensure proper acknowledgement and stewardship. Assist in data collection and the production of the yearly giving report and other publications.
Generate and present annual giving progress reports throughout the year. Analyze constituent income from various appeals and approaches, and segment or modify strategies as results indicate.
Collaborate with colleagues in the Development Office to further the success of overall team goals, including staffing evening and occasional weekend events as needed.

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of fundraising or closely related professional experience, including volunteer or customer management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency with development database software and Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word.
Prior experience with independent school fundraising through an annual fund program.
Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge database.
The Director of Annual Giving must be a dedicated, results-oriented professional.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, reliable, dedicated, creative and eager to be part of a fast-paced, fundraising program. We are seeking a team player, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, good judgment, and a positive outlook.
