The Account Executive manages the day-to-day operations of association organization(s) including overseeing staff and initiatives related to governance, membership, meetings, communications, website, and finances. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Governance•Oversight and management of the organization(s) strategic plan and direction;•Support and facilitation of work on behalf of the organization(s)’ Board of Directors and Committee•Provide day-to-day management support and activities to implement Board and Committee directives•Serve as the key staff liaison for the organization(s)’ leadership and interfacing with the internal staff team to facilitate successful completion of all tasks•Ensure that all action items from the Board and Committee meetings are carried through•Develop Board meeting agendas, facilitate conference calls, participate in strategic dialogues, and prepare meeting minutes•Serve as the KWMG representative at all assigned Board meetings and organization(s) eventsMembership•Oversight and management of the organization(s) membership recruitment and retention campaigns; working with internal staff to execute, deliver, and measure results•Ensure that the Board and Membership Committee is kept fully informed on the organization(s) membership growth, retention, and potentialMeetings•Manage internal meetings staff to ensure successful delivery of client organization(s) meetings, conferences, and events•Actively support the education and programming committees in the development and implementation of professional development activities•Establish timelines, manage content development process (call for abstracts), facilitate production of meeting/conference materials and marketing efforts in collaboration with staff•Travel to meetings to manage onsite registration, activities, and client meetingsCommunications and Website •Ensure organization(s) communications are consistent in branding, powerful in messaging, and measurable •Monitor website content, identify updates and ensure ongoing maintenance of organization(s) web presenceFinances•Oversight for organization(s) financial position; working closely with internal finance staff and third party accountants•Develop an annual budget for client organization(s); ensure applicable approvals are in place for staff to process expenses in alignment with budget•Ensure the Board is kept fully informed of the organization(s) financial status by reviewing and sharing monthly financial statements prepared in-house
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field.Minimum of 3 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a professional field.Association management experience a plus.Experience with education programs a plus.Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and multi-task on several projects at one time required.Ability to work independently and to work well within a staff team.Ability to travel.Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills a must.
