This financial aid professional serves as the point person for all systems related activity in SFS. The Manager of Systems and Integrations should be familiar with the systems and software currently in use within the financial aid industry and will continually be on the lookout for new technologies that will allow SFS to deliver services more effectively. The incumbent will provide user support and maintain a detailed knowledge of how departmental and related university systems operate, and will ensure the ongoing integrity of the data housed in SFS systems.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as the SFS point person in working with WUIT and with IT professionals from other areas within the university. This includes being the SFS point person for all IT project related activity, including writing and submitting project definitions, pre and post-implementation testing, and creating test plans for SFS projects. As the point person for systems related issues, identifies system data inconsistencies – mainly through review of audit reports, investigates them and works with Information Systems in getting them resolved, if necessary.
Responsible for understanding aid regulations and establishing new procedures and processes for maintaining compliance within strict deadlines. Stay abreast of regulations in financial aid. The manager is responsible for maintaining yearly update of COD schema changes and understand the Pell awarding, origination and disbursement process. Reconcile Pell Grant data monthly between internal systems and the Department of Education.
Serve as a member of the SFS Leadership Team and serve as the technology expert in SFS. In this role, the Manager will leverage knowledge of current and emerging technologies to help SFS most effectively meet university and departmental goals.
Ensures the accuracy of the Needs Analysis Rules through a thorough knowledge of them. Applies updates as necessary based on changes in WU need methodology and changes in Federal Title IV regulation.
Coordinate and audit communication between government and institutional systems to ensure reliability and continuity of data. Manages and implements the FAFSA download process and resolves held record status. Assist with status questions for FAFSA and the College Board Profile and resolve conflicting data for SFS staff and campus partners.
Lead systems administration for seven systems including government (COD, NSLDS, CPS, EdConnect) and institutional programs. Provides support when departmental personnel and campus partners have SFS systems related issues. Provides training as necessary – including training of new staff members and campus partners.

A business or systems related undergraduate degree.

Applicant Special Instructions:
The position will be located in an office environment. Travel and attendance at events on and off campus is necessary. Work outside of normal business hours is necessary, throughout the year.
The hiring range for this position is $50,895 - $66,144 annually.
