Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Coordinator.
In this role, the successful candidate Reporting to the Director of Academic Programs & Operations the Program Coordinator for Sackler is independently responsible for managing the NYU School of Medicine Masters Degree Program in Biomedical Informatics. The Program Coordinator works closely with biomedical informatics faculty and leadership to track student progress and ensure that the program runs smoothly. S/he is also responsible for various administrative duties, including accessing information for current students, alumni, faculty, and administrators. S/he will also coordinate working with the Associate Dean, the Director of Academic Programs and Operations, Sackler staff, and other SoM constituents, as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Handle requests for information, confirmation letters, Sackler travel awards, and student reimbursements.
Support Sackler staff with accessing information for students, faculty, and Sackler leadership.
Ensure appropriate teaching effort is given to teaching faculty via Brightspace.
Work with course directors to maintain an updated course catalog and conduct course surveys.
Track student progress through the Masters program via the database.
Oversee admissions, onboarding, obtaining visas, course registration, and graduation.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field. Two years of experience coordinating Project/Programs or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
