The University Program Specialist will be an integral part of the FBO Finance and Research Support Team (FiRST) by supervising or assisting assigned departments with account management and monitoring and compliance with government accounting methods, procedures and accounting practices. The position is expected to work with multiple departments in the SOM to assist them with their research award administration and grant submissions. Position involves developing and maintaining productive collaborative work relationships and assessing and responding to assigned department's needs. The position will apply research administration policy and practices and specifically, the position will supervise and/or assist departments with grant administration and management and financial and data management. Finally, the position will assist FiRST Manager and/or SOMCFO with any additional ad hoc reporting or special projects.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Must have strong customer service and organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication ability, strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Experience with PeopleSoft.
