This Administrative Director, Office of Health Equity and Inclusion is responsible for:
Working in Partnership with the Medical Director of the Office of Health Equity and Inclusion (OHEI) to provide overall administrative leadership, coordination and strategic planning for the OHEI to ensure diversity, inclusion, equity and respect for all physicians, resident/fellow trainees, nurses, researchers, employees, patients, families and vendors throughout Boston Children's Hospital.
Working in conjunction with the Medical Director and senior leadership in shaping the Boston Children's Hospital's culture to embrace innovative change and diverse thought with respect to pediatric health equity and inclusion.
Leading collaborations with other offices, departments, vendors, hospitals and government agencies to achieve programmatic goals.
Partnering with the Medical Director to develop policy initiatives, curricula and programs, networking events, celebrations of diversity, technical support and support research geared towards reducing pediatric health care disparities.
To qualify you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, Organizational Development and a minimum of six years' experience in diversity and inclusion or affirmative action program management, or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
A broad knowledge of diversity and inclusion processes, procedures, best practices, resources and networks and the ability to respond to complex diversity challenges.
Exceptional collaboration and project/team building, facilitation and management skills; the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and identify opportunities and implement diversity and inclusion strategies across the enterprise working with all levels of authority in accordance with timelines.
Strong analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of marketing and human resources principles, theories and concepts and indepth, experiencedbased crossfunctional knowledge. Must have excellent problem-solving skills.
Excellent creative, planning, communication, and organizational skills in order to meet brand objectives.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity and sensitivity to interactions that may arise in clinical settings, including the ability to lead through conflict and resistance, in order to work with internal and external constituents. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Proficiency with database design management, word processing, spreadsheet, power point preparation/presentation and graphics.
