The Department of Chemistry at the Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, VA, seeks to fill a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor to start August 1st, 2018. A Ph.D. in chemistry is required. Applicants with a Ph.D. in a closely related field such as materials science will also be considered. Applicants must have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Primary teaching responsibilities will be instrumental analysis and general chemistry. The new faculty member will develop an undergraduate research program in analytical chemistry or a related field. Startup funds will accompany research laboratory space in our fully-renovated (2013) facility.
