As a Director of Robotic Process Automation, you will become a key member of the Advanced Research and Analytics team at UnitedHealthcare. This function will work with UHC business units to identify and deliver results on high-impact projects leveraging Robotic Process Automation and other advanced technologies. Your objective is to apply program management skills and innovative thought leadership to pave the UHC roadmap for process automation. In this position, you will be advocating the power of Robotic Process Automation concepts and working with cross-functional teams to create significant transformations across UHC's core business lines. Primary Responsibilities:Implementing and overseeing the vision, strategy, programs, projects and initiatives for UHC's Robotic Process Automation Program Involved in partnering with stakeholders and operations business partners across UnitedHealthcare to the extent needed to establish an operating model and governance to deploy automated projects and initiatives in a timely, accurate and cost effective manner Ensure key business objectives are met for all impacted Benefit Operations Value Streams, Claim Platforms and system applications primarily for the three major Lines of Business initiatives (Employer & Individual - Community & State - Medicare & Retirement) Development and implementation of new automated, cognitive and artificial intelligence strategies as well and the maintenance and expansion of existing programs to achieve corporate savings goals for all medical cost savings, cost avoidance programs and FTE (Full Time Equivalent) Savings Forecasting, planning and tracking savings and resource impacts from projects will be required Ensure compliance with all state and federal rules and meet all regulatory reporting requirements where applicable
Required Qualifications:Experience working with the ideation, development, testing and deployment of automation initiatives Significant experience leading a team at Director Level Demonstrated experience working with IT teams during initiative solution option phases, prioritization and development processes Strong experience working in a highly matrixed organization Demonstrated ability to select and develop teams that are able to deliver results for the Automation strategy Experience with ARU (Automated Resolution Utilities) Experience with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) Experience with COE (Center of Excellence) development and oversight Experience with being a project owner / champion for system enhancements Experience creating and presenting CBA (Cost Benefit Analysis) for Capital Funding Ability to analyze and translate data to determine financial impact and develop recommendations for action plans Ability to review data and translate financial metrics, regulatory impact and/or automation impact for initiative prioritization Experience working with senior executives / leadership and presenting new processes and recommendationsPreferred Qualifications:Undergraduate degree preferred or equivalent work experience Strong Healthcare claims platform experience (UNET, COSMOS, FACETS CSP, NICE) Expertise in claims processing and accuracy initiatives Experience leading Operations departments with oversight for production, quality and cost effective processes Strong Reporting / Analytics skillset Knowledge of medical terminology and coding Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook Experience working with Agile Methodologies Performs conceptual analysis on system and process issues when project is under consideration Proven ability to hire, promote and ensure employee development and disciplinary actions to ensure adherence to all company policies Self-starter; strong track record of proactively moving organizations forwardCareers with UnitedHealthcare.
