And you'll do your life's best work.(sm) We are currently seeking an experienced Credentialing Supervisor to work in our Cypress, CA location and oversee staff in this office along with remote employees in the Tampa, FL location. We need a high energy, business minded individual with a strong work ethic and passion for healthcare. Primary Responsibilities: Support all oversight of the credentialing staff and related functions *staff located in Cypress, CA and Tampa, FL Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion Coordinate work activities with other supervisors Develop plans to meet short - term goals and objectives Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment Make decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan Provide oversight of credentialing committee administration (meeting, file coordination, etc .) Maintain knowledge of current credentialing requirements for credentialing providers recognizing the latest standards and procedures in credentialing Assists department staff with questions Performs quality review of department work to ensure department meets company quality standards Assists management with new team member training Collects performance data and generates reports for both individual and team performance Encourages team members and assists with remedial training All other duties assigned by Management
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent years of relevant work related credentialing experience) 4+ years of experience with credentialing / re - credentialing and / or privileging in the healthcare industry 1+ year or more of supervisory experience managing on site staff and remote employees in related niche area. 3+ years of experience with healthcare accreditation and regulatory standards including JCAHO and/or NCQA requirements Proficiency with MS Excel, Word and OutlookPreferred Qualifications: Certified Professional Medical Services Manager (CPMSM) Certified Provider Credentials Specialist (CPCS) High level of discretion to work with confidential information Solid knowledge of credentialing processes, requirements, and NCQA guidelines Able to follow routine procedures consistently and efficiently Able to work independently, and in conjunction with team members at all levels of the organization Able to understand instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail - oriented, adaptable and self - motivated Able to resolve problems quickly and effectively Able to motivate others Able to delegate effectively Careers with MSLA.
