The Program Coordinator of Student Involvement position works as a team member for the Center for Student Involvement area (within the larger department of Student Involvement and Leadership) at Gonzaga University. Serving as one of four positions within the Center for Student Involvement, this person will have specific event planning and student advising responsibilities and general responsibilities in supporting clubs, student government, and office operations. The Program Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and management of the SpikeNites Weekend Program, including supervision of 2 Graduate Assistants and 5-8 student programmers. The Program Coordinator is also responsible for assisting in the management of student clubs and organizations at Gonzaga University. Approve and advise student clubs on their events and all events and trainings associated with clubs at Gonzaga University. Responsible for arrangements, planning, event-approval, marketing, and evaluation for the club program. Provide on-site supervision for large club events and activities when necessary. The Program Coordinator advises Z-Core, the Senior experience programming board at Gonzaga. Z-Core plans senior ball, convocation and many other senior events. Works to develop and sustain a comprehensive Senior Year Experience Committee with stakeholders across the institution. The Program Coordinator collaborates with other offices/departments in the support of the Department of Student Involvement and Leadership events and activities; assists the Associate Director and Assistant Dean in designing programs that support the mission's goal of developing the whole person, especially in the areas of wellness, diversity, leadership, and peace and justice. The Program Coordinator performs other duties as assigned to support Student Development, Student Involvement & Leadership, and Gonzaga mission statements.
Bachelors Degree required in a related field, Masters Degree required. Experience working in a student activities environment is desirable. Experience in student organizations as an undergraduate is preferred.

Experience necessary in program development, event planning, and working with college students. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience with budgeting, supervision and advising students.
