Customers Bank, the fastest growing bank in the U.S., has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Auditor. This person reports to the Internal Audit Manager and will be responsible for performing audits, overseeing staff in the performance of audits, reviewing adequacy of internal controls, efficiency and effectiveness of operations, compliance with policies, regulations, risk management and governance processes. Assist Audit Manager/Audit Director in execution of the annual audit plan.
Assist in audit planning, including development of risk assessments and audit programs.
Perform audit fieldwork, including the testing of the design and effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with applicable banking regulations.
Document audit results and audit issues in accordance with corporate audit policies and procedures.
Oversee audit team members as assigned on a per audit basis including, but not limited to: reviewing audit field work; addressing issues identified; and providing feedback.
Coordinate with the Audit Manager/Audit Director to determine appropriate recommendations for management.
Draft audit reports for review by the Audit Manager/Audit Director.
Complete audit assignments within established budgets and due dates.
Provide external audit support as needed.
Keep current on relevant regulations pertaining to audits and the financial services industry.
Implement best practices and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the audit group such as CAAT’s (Computer Aided Auditing Techniques).
Build and maintain effective relationships with management and the audit team.
Provide consistent quality customer service to all constituents of internal audit.

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or business.
CPA Certification is strongly preferred.
Accounting and treasury experience. (i.e. familiarity with the workings of capital, management of liquidity, interest rate risk, allowance for loan losses, etc.)
Minimum 5 years of financial institution audit or equivalent experience.
Ability to interpret the impact and requirements of new laws and regulations.
Proficient in applying professional auditing principles and practices. (Institute of Internal Auditor’s International Professional Practice Framework)
Knowledge of financial accounting, reporting concepts, controls over financial reporting, accounting department operations and general ledger systems, especially within the financial institutions or financial services industries.
Knowledge of internal control identification, evaluation and testing concepts under Sarbanes-Oxley and COSO 2013.
Ability to successfully manage multiple assignments simultaneously and oversee/manage assigned staff.

Additional certifications such as, CIA, CFSA, and/or CFE, or a current active candidate for such certification.
