Responsible for compensation processes. Studies and analyzes wages for salaried and hourly jobs. Evaluates jobs using established evaluation systems, determines grades and maintains documentation with validity of the evaluations. Develops, recommends and writes job evaluation and compensation procedures. Partners with leadership in creating and executing on compensation strategies that improve business performance. Provides leadership towards annual pay programs as it relates to processes and project completion. Develops collaborative client and HR relationships to support effective and efficient compensation needs and services. Support the communication strategy and processes for compensation across the organization.
Minimum Education Requirements
Minimum Experience Requirements
7 years of related experience, including finance and human resources
Working knowledge of government laws and compliance relating to wage and hour programs. Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and familiarity with HRIS programs
Strong analytical and problem solving skills – able to identify themes and trends from large amounts of data and propose solutions
Detail -oriented—able to provide accurate data and concise analytics
Strong project management skills—able to document and communicate project plans
Must be self-directed, able to meet deadlines, work independently, as well as work in a team-oriented, professional, and fast paced environment
Well-developed interpersonal communication skills
Certified Compensation Professional strongly preferred
Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )
Provide consultative partnerships with HR leaders in the analysis, development, design, execution, implementation and ongoing administration and maintenance of our market-based compensation programs, including salary structures, annual pay process, promotions, job evaluations, and rewards and recognition programs. *
Responsible for understanding total compensation trends and ensuring best practices are used in the design and execution of the programs. *
Use studies, surveys, impact analyses, modeling, costing, presentations, ad hoc data reporting, HRIS reviews and clean-up or other specialized data to conduct analysis. *
Ensure all total compensation programs and practices are in compliance with all regulatory requirements; implementing action where appropriate. *
Evaluate new or revised jobs and determine appropriate job grades and salary ranges for internal equity and external competitiveness. Jobs analysis may include using questionnaires and interviews to collect job related information, document job content, scope and specifications. *
Conduct market salary surveys; collect and analyze market data and maintain salary survey data library; determine competitive position of company salary range structure; develop and present recommendations for annual structure and prepare financial analysis of plan impact. *
Conduct various annual pay reviews including producing metrics. *
Assist in the development and delivery of communication materials to educate. *
