Associates for Acquisition and Program Analysis support projects that focus on acquiring and implementing large technology solutions. Associates have relevant experience in acquisition strategy, acquisition support, and program management and analysis. They love programs with a meaningful mission, typically focused on homeland security. Initially, this consulting position will support emergency management projects. Associates work in a team environment, where they have an opportunity to build their skills in other related disciplines. They are interested in business, acquisition, and strategy. This position is located in the Metro DC area.
Candidates join our consulting practice to work on mission-critical projects and quickly learn on the projects through formal training and by contributing to company growth. We are seeking long-term members for our close-knit team!
Experience supporting the Government as a consultant or contractor on a large program (at least 1 year, but more years preferred)
At least 3-4 years post-Bachelor’s degree experience, including acquisition and either program or business analysis
Experience in a dynamic environment where problem solving and communication skills are critical
Experience with or ability to learn Federal reporting to the Office of Management and Budget; including Exhibit 300, Exhibit 53, and the IT Dashboard using the DHS financial and investment system (INVEST)
Interest in information technology and/or experience developing documentation and artifacts for system lifecycle management (e.g., Life-cycle cost estimates, resource allocation plans, cost estimate baseline documents)
Experience in supervisingjunior associates and are on their way to leading a team preferred
Proven skills in developing and maintaining great client relationships
Excellent communications skills, attention to detail, work ethic, and ability to work in a team
Entrepreneurial spirit and uses and applies business skills to solve problems
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor's degree required
US Citizenship only (no dual citizenship)
Understanding of capital planning and investment control activities
Financial management experience
Training or formal education or certifications in project or program management
Knowledge and understanding of the DHS Acquisition Lifecycle Framework and associated directives (e.g., AD 102)
Understanding or familiarity with the Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC)
