Function includes managing Incoming calls, managing requests for services from providers / members, providing information on available network services and transferring members as appropriate to Clinical staff. Also, manages the referrals process, processes incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations. This function also includes: Intake, notification and census roles.Primary Responsibilities:Constantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendanceResponsible for ensuring the letter documentation meets client, regulatory and accreditation requirementsKnowledge of the State and Federal regulations concerning the services and benefitsMust demonstrate understanding of the program by selecting the correct letter templateOther duties as assigned by manager and / or director
Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GED1+ years of professional experience in an office / customer service environment1+ years of professional experience in Clerical or Administrator work1+ years of experience with Medical TerminologyProficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft OutlookComputer proficiency including, but not limited to, ability to learn new computer system applicationsAbility to work an 8 hour shift Sunday through Thursday (Monday - Thursday the schedule will be 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Sunday the schedule will be 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM.) and work overtime if there is a business needPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree (or higher)2+ years of professional experience in an office setting using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform the job duties, or 2+ years of Customer Service experience analyzing and solving customer problemsExperience working within the Healthcare Industry, Hospital, Physician's Office, or Medical Clinical setting, Medical Terminology, ICD - 9 / 10 and CPT codes, Medicare and / or Medicaid Services, call center environmentHealthcare or Insurance Benefits experienceExperience in a medical office billing or Medical Assistant / ClerkExperience with production of NOA / NOE lettersKnowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial programsSoft Skills:Ability to multi - taskExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast - paced, dynamic, rapidly changing environmentStrong aptitude for working in a production driven environmentMust be a self - starter and able to work independentlyConstantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendanceCareers with UnitedHealthcare.
