California State University San Marcos seeks a Student Services Professional IB (International Admissions Advisor) for their Global Education department. Under general supervision the position will support the international admissions process and provide support to the International Admissions Specialist, American Language and Culture Institute, and Extended Learning. Responsible for aiding the international admissions specialist in responding to high volume international telephone inquiries and emails to assist applicants with the application process and admission requirements. Also, responsible for oversight, security and integrity of application records including both electronic and hard copy records. Assist with the scanning of international documents into the On Base imaging system as needed. Provide general support to international admissions and recruitment processes, coordinate distribution of complete application files to International Admissions Specialist, research student and staff inquiries, match and reconcile incoming documents to applicant records. Utilize PeopleSoft to run necessary queries for admissions process. Continuously review record-keeping process and recommend and implement changes. Coordinate transition of matriculated student files to the Office of Registration and Records for detail entry and posting of transfer credit. Assist with detail entry of international transfer credit as needed. Recruit and supervise and direct work of student assistants assigned to International Admissions in absence of International Admission Specialist. Serve on department and unit committees.

Minimum Qualifications include: Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, international studies or a job related field, and one-year of experience in professional student services work or academic advising required or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in an academic setting, preferably within the CSU.
Salary and Position Status
Part-time (50%), temporary position with benefits ending on or before June 30, 2018. This position may continue beyond June 30, 2018 based upon the availability of funds.
Salary Range: $1,735.00 - $2,454.00/month
Anticipated Hiring Salary: $1,735.00/month
