The position will be responsible for overseeing and deploying various quality improvement projects, and also responsible for extracting data out of a data warehouse, reviewing data to verify accuracy, and performing data analysis to support quality improvement efforts. Positions in this function are responsible for the development and/or on-going management and administration of clinical programs. The position provides implementation support, measurement standards, and revisions as needed that incorporate applicable best practices with proven outcomes. 50% of the role is data extraction and analysis, and 50% of the role is quality improvement projects. This position is location on site at 1 East Washington Street in Phoenix. Primary Responsibilities:Design, create, implement and manage Quality Improvement projects and initiatives Extract appropriate metrics from SQL or Oracle environments Extract and utilize data to develop intervention strategies to improve outcomes Report quality improvement / performance outcomes Develop and implement performance improvement projects
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree 2+ years' experience extracting data in a SQL environment 2+ years' experience developing and implementing performance improvement projects or using data to develop intervention strategies to improve outcomes Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 2+ years' experience in health plan data and improvement outcome measurements that are quality relatedPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience with quality measures such as HEDIS Prior experience creating reports related to quality improvement / performance outcomes Intermediate skill and experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access CPHQ or CHCQM certificationCareers at UnitedHealthcare Community & State.
