Purpose of the position Working independently, the person in this position will support the division chair and faculty in curriculum matters, ordering supplies, travel arrangements, schedules and events, data entry for accreditation as directed, and other office management tasks.
Job duties 1. Administrative support for Division of Education and Education faculty 25% • Assist with departmental travel arrangements • Provide course support to faculty members including assistance in software applications, book orders, course evaluations, and room scheduling • Update Division course and program information using ECAS and PCAS • Coordinate student scholarships for education students
2. Support Student Teaching/Practicum Placements & Record Keeping 25% • Work with placement coordinator to organize materials and communications for all practicum and student teaching placements • Provide clerical support for GST program • Maintain and update placement procedures and schedules as directed • Regularly review information on Web site pages related to position (e.g. field experiences and MTLE support) and work with other staff members to ensure accuracy.
3. Support for state and national accreditation 25% • Provide data entry as directed • Print reports from Tk20 • Print and organize materials • Assist in preparing graduate information for follow-up surveys
4. Receptionist 25% • Standard duties including answering phones, taking messages, directing callers • Monitor UMM Education E-mail account • Direct student workers as needed • Update digital message screens in office
