In collaboration with NSICU's Nurse Manager, you are responsible for managing and supervising a 24 hour inpatient nursing unit. You will work primarily on evening and nightshift hours to expand managerial support to the off shifts. You will partner with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure effective delivery of quality clinical patient care and compliance with administrative and clinical policies and procedures. Your managerial activities include performance evaluations, employee mentoring, project management and roll out of quality and safety initiatives, ensuring adherence to hospital and clinical standards of performance, and human resource management.
Bachelor Degree in Nursing with an intent to return for Master's Degree within two years
3-5 years of current clinical experience, previous charge nurse experience
Strong communication skills, conflict management, teamwork (demonstrated ability to build team and integrate existing teams), and experience in complex organization environments
Ability to use and support an electronic integrated medical record
Current, unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse License
Current BLS and ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network branch of AHA (upload documentation with online application)

Master's Degree in Nursing
