Provide leadership and strategic direction in the development of clinical business usability determination, analysis and testing processes which support UHC programs and UHG Clinical Model. Work closely within the Clinical business partners, Optum Technology and multiple enterprise program leaders to identify and determine usability determinations and definitions to be included in test configurations and new functionality/enhancements to meet evolving business needs. Work within UHC Clinical Business Enablement on large technology programs to improve and enable care for our members.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for Usability planning and test execution including roadmaps, timelines, tracking of Usability requirements, project tasks and outcomesDefine and implement end to end usability testing tools and methods to be used for all initiatives within a program Responsible for ensuring quality assurance plans and methods are implemented for all Usability initiativesFacilitate development of program level usability determination planning either across multiple iterations of a technology release or multiple projects Facilitate resolution of Usability Testing level scope change on initiatives within program Facilitate Risk Management decisions required from Senior Management Identify and engage super users and provide training on usability determination concepts Resolve Variance from Program execution plans Monitor and communicate risk management status and contingency implementation in conjunction with the Clinical Capability Testing DirectorDevelop and Manage Usability Determination Communication PlanObtain Senior Management Engagement in the Usability Determination Process Provide Strong Leadership and Judgment Participate in a matrix organization by effectively maintaining and building relationships across Business groups Support a team oriented work climate that enables professional development and encourages creative solutions and strategies, establishes collaboration and emphasizes quality and cost effectiveness
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree6+ years of technology and project experience within a matrix organization to include experience in successfully managing usability determination and testing efforts on large-scale technology projectsExperience in successfully working on large-scale technology projects -- including multiple integrated business areas or systemsExperience working in Agile development environments / projectsTechnical background with experience in troubleshooting data issues and technical defectsAbility to build trust relationships with Customers Ability to effectively communicate with Sr. Management on strategic IssuesExperience with executive communications - ability to effectively share vision Technical acumen to drive and/or assist in analytical researchDemonstrated ability to manage people and prioritize deliverablesProven organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work with ambiguityPassion for customers and a demonstrated focus on customer experienceEnergy, motivation, and commitment to drive to results in a challenging, fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to meet commitments, build consensus, negotiate resolutions, and garner respect from other teamsDiplomatic with strong negotiation and conflict resolution skillsExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication with both technical and business audiencesSolid interpersonal skills, passion around facilitation, empowerment, and servant leadershipPreferred Qualifications:Clinical background in provider organizations, operational or in technical/project roleUsability lab experiencePrior telecommuting experienceCareers with UnitedHealthcare.
